Early demo for a brand new, arcade style, beat 'em up game for the NES from Retrotainment Games & artist Matt Gondek.  Enter bootleg worlds based off popular cartoons, comics, & video games. Beat the sh*t out of everything!

The game launches summer ’26. This demo offers a preview of what we’re building. First-pressing cartridge pre-orders, discounted digital pre-orders, & merch are available at ceaseanddesistgame.com for anyone who wants to get in early & support development.

Browser Controls:

• Arrows (or WASD) = Movement
• Z = Attack Combo (3-hit combo)
• X = Jump
• X, X = Jump Kick
• X, Z = Jump Attack
• Enter = Power Swing (requires anarchy token pickups)
• Shift = Pause (then press Enter to open options menu)

ROM Instructions:

1. Download the .nes ROM file from this site (Download is below)
2. Go to https://www.mesen.ca/ and download the emulator
3. Install the Mesen emulator and open it
4. Click File>Open and then select the .nes file you just downloaded
5. Beat the sh*t out of everyone
